San Diego Family Photographer

Throughout my years of photographing maternity and newborn babies, so many of these sessions have given me the best opportunity: to watch families become whole, to watch them grow and bloom.  The coolest thing ever is meeting an expectant couple, anxiously awaiting the arrival of their first baby, then fast forwarding a few years to looking back at the moments I have been able to capture for them throughout the years.  Bellies, new babies, starting preschool, getting a new puppy… it truly makes me happy to watch these families grow every year.  Locations for family portrait sessions depend on what fits you as a family.  Got a family of baseball players?  Petco Park  in downtown San Diego is a fun place for a session!  Is your family the outdoorsy type?  How about one of our awesome regional parks and hiking trails, such as Mission Trails or Iron Mountain?  A pumpkin patch in the fall, a wildflower field in the spring, golden fields in the summer and snow in the winter… yep, Mount Laguna is a great spot for that!  Things to keep in mind before booking your family photography session…. the fall is the busiest time of the year with families preparing for the holiday season and the yearly Christmas card.  Schedule your session as early as possible, even towards the end of summer.  Spring is also a fun and busy time, as those amazing wildflowers take bloom and give us such amazing colors to play with! Take a peek through my blog for more location ideas, and take note of the time of year to get an idea of what our surroundings will look like at the time of our family photography session.
