Baby Jordan was so sweet…. and a dream baby to photograph! He slept the entire time, didn’t pee or poop on the blankets, let me pose him without a fuss – we were done with our session in no time! I just saw him today after a 6 weeks and holy moly has he grown!!! He was only one week old when I photographed him, and it just serves as a
reminder that these little ones grow faster than you can blink. Congratulations, K family on the birth of your gorgeous son!

Ahh don’t you miss that show? Lol.
I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful family a few weeks ago right before the holidays and OMG – these three little girls are seriously the cutest kiddos ever! Seriously – their eyes are amazing, and their smiles make you feel happy. Seeing the three of them interact is magical – there is a bond these girls will have forever and it is so wonderful to see at this age.

I had the pleasure of photographing this sweet little love last month when she was just a few days old. I know I have said it before, but what I love about newborn sessions is seeing the excitement and new overwhelming love that parents have for their new little bundle. A and E were no exception – I loved seeing mom and dad handle her with such love and care, tending to her ever so lovingly – it really put a big smile in my heart Here are a few shots from little Ava’s session… PS: her nursery was SO cute – mom painted those beautiful and colorful letters!

Ahhh yes, ketchup…. If you ever run into Ava, ask her to tell you the ketchup joke… you know – ‘what did the mama tomato say to the baby tomato while walking down the street?’ Yes I did teach that one to her, and yes, my jokes are just as awesome in person, lol.
Anyways, I am playing catch up with some posts from the past couple of months – November and December are the busiest months of the year and I have been working hard to get client galleries and orders ready, but I havn’t had a chance to do blog posts. I have quite a few more to go, and I hope to have them up by New Years, so bear with me

Next up is the gorrrrrgeous Jeanette, expecting her little guy (who has since made his appearance, yay!) I can’t wait to meet mini J
You might remember this handsome dude from last spring – here is Taylor and his beautiful mama Jillian – owner of Playtown Indoor Playground in El Cajon – Totally a fun place to bring the kiddos, especially on a rainy day
Do you remember sweet little Abigail from this session when she was just a few days old… well she’s now a beautiful and happy 6 month old baby girl. We had a great time at the beach (along with 839574 other photographers that day lol).
This sweet family and I had originally decided on a beach session shortly after the sunrise but when we got there we were freeeeeeeezing! It was so cold, and of course I wear nothing but flip flops anywhere – especially the beach…. my toes were frozen for a week! Anyways, we decided that it was too cold and moved nearby to a spot I ususally photograph at in the evenings, so it was fun scouting out new areas to find the best light for that time of day. We had a blast – they were such a fun and happy family
Off to make cookies with my girls for Santa. Wishing you ALL a Happy Holidays!!!

I’m not very good with blog titles, in fact I am pretty much the most un-original blog title person ever, but when I was uploading this session and was prompted to enter a blog title, it was instantaneous. This is little Iridae and her beautiful family. Her name makes me think of a bright light illuminating the sky, and hey - our session happened to fall on a beautiful, sunny day. The love these parents have for this little one was so overwhelming, so yeah – ‘You are my sunshine’ it is! Like it?

I will admit, when I got an inquiry for twin newborn babies that were already 5 weeks old, I was a bit nervous – normally, babies at 5 weeks old don’t like to ‘bend and curl’ as much as babies that are just days old, they don’t sleep as soundly, their baby acne has set in… well these two twin babies were an absolute dream. They were so in synch with each other, and even though they both have their individual personalities that are so clear, it’s amazing how twins just ‘know’ they have each other. I think it’s absolutely amazing that these two will grow up as best friends. Our session was awesome, and I was so lucky to have my fellow photographer friend Jen come and assist during our shoot. These babies have an exciting few months ahead of them. Soon, they will be on a plane to China to meet their grandparents, then they will be headed home to Australia. Thank you so much, Z family for allowing me the opportunity to photograph these little cuties!

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving weekend! Things have been so crazy these past few weeks – ask any photographer and they’ll tell you that this is the busiest time of year – no kidding! I have been having a blast photographing newborns, gorgeous families and adorable kiddos… and neglecting the blog – eek! Lots of posts to follow as things calm down in the next few weeks – promise
This sweet adorable little A had her newborn session a few weeks ago and I am just now getting it on the blog – I couldn’t forget little A! At just a few days shy of the big ‘two week feeding frenzy’, Miss A was a perfect angel and a hungry little one too! We paused quite a few times for ‘lunch breaks’ as she ate, then ate more, then ate again, lol. It was worth the wait though – look at that little face! Love!
We had a totally fun session, hanging out in A’s gorgeous nursery (with awesome light) and listening to Jack Johnson while we snapped away. Thanks for a great session, S family!

Just catching up on a session from September – isn’t this family beautiful? We headed to one of my favorite locations and got some awesome family shots. Poor little A woke up that morning with a fever, so she needed a few extra cuddles to get her through, but with those adorable smiles, you would never know – she was a trooper! Thank you, O family for allowing me to photograph your picture perfect family!

This week, I had the pleasure of photographing a fellow photographer and her beautiful family. Hillary is used to being the one snapping the pictures of her little girl, but once a year or so, us photograpers know how important it is to take a break, put the camera down and let someone else capture your own family. You can see Hillary’s work here. It was also sweet little L’s 2nd birthday so of course two balloons were in order.
