It was so much fun to meet all of these cute kiddos last week at PlayTown Indoor Playground in El Cajon. Seriously, everyone was so incredibly super duper awesomely dressed and did so great! Thank you, PlayTown for hosting my Easter mini sessions this year, and thank you to all of these kiddos’ parents for bringing them out to see me! Wishing you all a great week and happy Easter!

Easter Mini Sessions at PlayTown | San Diego Baby and Child Photographer | Sophie Crew Photography
Tuesday, April 19th, 2011Baby Ethan | San Diego Newborn Photographer | Sophie Crew Photography
Monday, April 18th, 2011I am SO excited to be sharing this blog post. Little Ethan belongs to my very good friend L – you have seen her beautiful daughter (and Ava’s BFF) Brooke on my blog before – she’s the gorgeous blonde
Mr. Ethan came one week earlier than planned. L was so excited to have just gone on maternity leave and take advantage of having one week all to herself to prepare for Ethan’s scheduled C-section arrival. Well, baby boy decided to not give his mama any down time – he came on her first day of Maternity leave! He is such a sweet baby, and he looks just like big sis. Congrats, A family on your gorgeous family
Love ya!

That pregnancy glow… | San Diego Maternity and Pregnancy Photographer | Sophie Crew Photography
Saturday, April 2nd, 2011I met B and J a few weekends ago for their mini-maternity session at the beach. It was such a beautiful day and they were such a happy and excited couple! They are expecting a girl anytime now and they told me her name – OMG I LOVE it! I won’t share it with you yet in case it’s a surprise to their family and friends, but they get an A+ is name cuteness and originality, plus it’s French, so double awesome points! I can’t wait to share her newborn session once she arrives!
Here are a few of my favorites from our session:

OOOHHHH, don’t forget to come by PlayTown Indoor Playground on Wednesday, April 13th from 4:30pm to 7:30pm for my ONE day set of Easter Mini Sessions. No RSVP required, just show up and bring your wee ones.

Baby Darla | San Diego Newborn Photographer | Sophie Crew Photography
Friday, March 25th, 2011You may remember baby Darla’s gorgeous mama and dad from this maternity session. Well, sweet Darla was born just a few weeks ago and I had the pleasure of meeting her at just a few days old. She was such a sweetie and I had a great time spending the morning with Baby D, mommy and her auntie. Not only did I enjoy our time together, but to make things even more awesome, mama R had prepared the most beautiful plate of YUMMMMMMY Baklava for me to bring home. Thank you allowing me the opportunity to photograph sweet Darla, T family!

Beach Fun! | San Diego Family Beach Photographer | Sophie Crew Photography
Saturday, February 19th, 2011It was so much fun meeting this happy and FUN family of five! We are so lucky to be able to shoot at the beach while other parts of the country are covered in cold snow. I love San Diego! Anyways, these kiddos were just getting over being sick – pneumonia is never fun, especially for the kids! They did great and we had a great time running around the beach and being silly. Here are a few from our session:

Chloe | San Diego Baby and Family Photographer | Sophie Crew Photography
Tuesday, January 11th, 2011Last year (as in a month ago, lol) I had the pleasure of photographing little 6 month old Chloe and her beautiful parents. With all of this crummy weather, we were so lucky to have one day of actual sun so that we could shoot Chloe in the crib just like I envisioned, just wearing her diaper cover. Usually these kinds of sessions work best in the summer due to the chill factor, but we scored with one day of sun, woot! Just look at Chloe’s eyes – gorgeous, so sparkling and inquisitive. She is such a cutie patootie! Thanks, L family for sharing a great day with me!

Playing catch up… or ketchup as my 5 year old jokes… | San Diego Family and Newborn Photographer | Sophie Crew Photography
Friday, December 24th, 2010Ahhh yes, ketchup…. If you ever run into Ava, ask her to tell you the ketchup joke… you know – ‘what did the mama tomato say to the baby tomato while walking down the street?’ Yes I did teach that one to her, and yes, my jokes are just as awesome in person, lol.
Anyways, I am playing catch up with some posts from the past couple of months – November and December are the busiest months of the year and I have been working hard to get client galleries and orders ready, but I havn’t had a chance to do blog posts. I have quite a few more to go, and I hope to have them up by New Years, so bear with me
MERRY CHRISTMAS! Wishing you all a happy, safe and jolly holidays!
Here are a few recent sessions for you… tons more to come in the next few days…
First we have the cute and cuddly baby Caleb – and his beautiful family too
Look at

Next up is the gorrrrrgeous Jeanette, expecting her little guy (who has since made his appearance, yay!) I can’t wait to meet mini J

You might remember this handsome dude from last spring – here is Taylor and his beautiful mama Jillian – owner of Playtown Indoor Playground in El Cajon – Totally a fun place to bring the kiddos, especially on a rainy day

Do you remember sweet little Abigail from this session when she was just a few days old… well she’s now a beautiful and happy 6 month old baby girl. We had a great time at the beach (along with 839574 other photographers that day lol).

This sweet family and I had originally decided on a beach session shortly after the sunrise but when we got there we were freeeeeeeezing! It was so cold, and of course I wear nothing but flip flops anywhere – especially the beach…. my toes were frozen for a week! Anyways, we decided that it was too cold and moved nearby to a spot I ususally photograph at in the evenings, so it was fun scouting out new areas to find the best light for that time of day. We had a blast – they were such a fun and happy family

Off to make cookies with my girls for Santa. Wishing you ALL a Happy Holidays!!!
Worth the Wait… | San Diego Newborn Photographer | Sophie Crew Photography
Monday, November 29th, 2010I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving weekend! Things have been so crazy these past few weeks – ask any photographer and they’ll tell you that this is the busiest time of year – no kidding! I have been having a blast photographing newborns, gorgeous families and adorable kiddos… and neglecting the blog – eek! Lots of posts to follow as things calm down in the next few weeks – promise
This sweet adorable little A had her newborn session a few weeks ago and I am just now getting it on the blog – I couldn’t forget little A! At just a few days shy of the big ‘two week feeding frenzy’, Miss A was a perfect angel and a hungry little one too! We paused quite a few times for ‘lunch breaks’ as she ate, then ate more, then ate again, lol. It was worth the wait though – look at that little face! Love!
We had a totally fun session, hanging out in A’s gorgeous nursery (with awesome light) and listening to Jack Johnson while we snapped away. Thanks for a great session, S family!

Families are forever… | San Diego Family Photographer | Sophie Crew Photography
Monday, November 15th, 2010Just catching up on a session from September – isn’t this family beautiful? We headed to one of my favorite locations and got some awesome family shots. Poor little A woke up that morning with a fever, so she needed a few extra cuddles to get her through, but with those adorable smiles, you would never know – she was a trooper! Thank you, O family for allowing me to photograph your picture perfect family!

It’s cool to be ONE! | San Diego Baby Photographer | Sophie Crew Photography
Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing little man T. He gave us nothing but smiles and happy faces – such a cutie! It’s always funny to suggest these kinds of locations to clients – I get to say ‘I’ll meet you in a back alley’.. lol. Anyways, here is Mr T in all of his one year old cuteness…
