You may remember baby Darla’s gorgeous mama and dad from this maternity session. Well, sweet Darla was born just a few weeks ago and I had the pleasure of meeting her at just a few days old. She was such a sweetie and I had a great time spending the morning with Baby D, mommy and her auntie. Not only did I enjoy our time together, but to make things even more awesome, mama R had prepared the most beautiful plate of YUMMMMMMY Baklava for me to bring home. Thank you allowing me the opportunity to photograph sweet Darla, T family!

This couple was absolutely adorable and so incredibly sweet. They are expecting their very first baby in just a few weeks and are so excited! Expectant daddy, B was only in town for one weekend so we had to get our session in while he was here, but wouldn’t you know, they annnounced rain for the entire weekend… our original Saturday session was out of the question, but we decided to risk it and hope that the rain would go away by Sunday… it did! It turned out to be such a perfect day – check out that sky in the silhouette pic! I am so excited to meet their little one soon

Little guy Will was so much fun to run around and chase – as most mobile one year olds, his environment is exciting, and he needs to explore it all! We had a great time shooting Will and his beautiful family a few weeks ago. Will had recently turned one, so of course we did a cake smash to celebrate! Yes, I do love my job… how could you not after getting to hang out with these little bundles of sweetness for 3 hours? Meet baby Julian – you might remember his gorgeous parents from their maternity session here. Little Julian made his way into the world just a few weeks ago, and I had the honor of photographing him just under 2 weeks old. When I took a peek at Julian’s back yard, I was super excited to see the fruit trees, and knew we had to incorporate them into his session. Here are a few of my favorites from our session. It’s not fair that this mama looks so gorgeous preggo! Lol, isn’t she beautiful? This sweet couple are expecting their first baby in just a few weeks – a girl! We had a great day in La Jolla, enjoying the sun and some yummy ice cream (I didn’t make her eat the pickles) before heading down to the cove for some shots on the beach. We had fun watching the seals chit chat or bark at each other – what a life, you get to hang out on a rock all day and be lazy, then just bark orders to your friends, lol. Anyways, here are a few from our session. I can’t wait to photograph their little one once she arrives!

Last year (as in a month ago, lol) I had the pleasure of photographing little 6 month old Chloe and her beautiful parents. With all of this crummy weather, we were so lucky to have one day of actual sun so that we could shoot Chloe in the crib just like I envisioned, just wearing her diaper cover. Usually these kinds of sessions work best in the summer due to the chill factor, but we scored with one day of sun, woot! Just look at Chloe’s eyes – gorgeous, so sparkling and inquisitive. She is such a cutie patootie! Thanks, L family for sharing a great day with me!

I had the pleasure of photographing this sweet little love last month when she was just a few days old. I know I have said it before, but what I love about newborn sessions is seeing the excitement and new overwhelming love that parents have for their new little bundle. A and E were no exception – I loved seeing mom and dad handle her with such love and care, tending to her ever so lovingly – it really put a big smile in my heart Here are a few shots from little Ava’s session… PS: her nursery was SO cute – mom painted those beautiful and colorful letters!

Ahhh yes, ketchup…. If you ever run into Ava, ask her to tell you the ketchup joke… you know – ‘what did the mama tomato say to the baby tomato while walking down the street?’ Yes I did teach that one to her, and yes, my jokes are just as awesome in person, lol.
Anyways, I am playing catch up with some posts from the past couple of months – November and December are the busiest months of the year and I have been working hard to get client galleries and orders ready, but I havn’t had a chance to do blog posts. I have quite a few more to go, and I hope to have them up by New Years, so bear with me

You might remember this handsome dude from last spring – here is Taylor and his beautiful mama Jillian – owner of Playtown Indoor Playground in El Cajon – Totally a fun place to bring the kiddos, especially on a rainy day
Do you remember sweet little Abigail from this session when she was just a few days old… well she’s now a beautiful and happy 6 month old baby girl. We had a great time at the beach (along with 839574 other photographers that day lol).
This sweet family and I had originally decided on a beach session shortly after the sunrise but when we got there we were freeeeeeeezing! It was so cold, and of course I wear nothing but flip flops anywhere – especially the beach…. my toes were frozen for a week! Anyways, we decided that it was too cold and moved nearby to a spot I ususally photograph at in the evenings, so it was fun scouting out new areas to find the best light for that time of day. We had a blast – they were such a fun and happy family
Off to make cookies with my girls for Santa. Wishing you ALL a Happy Holidays!!!
