I met B and J a few weekends ago for their mini-maternity session at the beach. It was such a beautiful day and they were such a happy and excited couple! They are expecting a girl anytime now and they told me her name – OMG I LOVE it! I won’t share it with you yet in case it’s a surprise to their family and friends, but they get an A+ is name cuteness and originality, plus it’s French, so double awesome points! I can’t wait to share her newborn session once she arrives!

Ohhh Baby Troy is 6 months! The last time you saw this cutie pie, he was just a few days old. You can see his newborn session from this summer here and mom and dad’s gorgeous maternity session here.
It was so much fun seeing this little guy again – such a handsome guy, with lots of personality! Lock up your daughters, mamas, because little Troy is going to be quite the hunky boy! 
So, I hadn’t photographed at this location in a couple of months, so I didn’t realize how early they closed their gates. We were just getting into putting Troy in a couple of baskets and props when we heard the park ranger over the loudspeaker ‘We are closing the gates in 5 minutes!’ Yikes!! We rushed to get a few shots and luckily, I knew of a 2nd location nearby where we were able to finish up. Note to self: check park hours! Thank goodness for the ‘spring forward’ last weekend – gates are open later now, phew!

This couple was absolutely adorable and so incredibly sweet. They are expecting their very first baby in just a few weeks and are so excited! Expectant daddy, B was only in town for one weekend so we had to get our session in while he was here, but wouldn’t you know, they annnounced rain for the entire weekend… our original Saturday session was out of the question, but we decided to risk it and hope that the rain would go away by Sunday… it did! It turned out to be such a perfect day – check out that sky in the silhouette pic! I am so excited to meet their little one soon Here are a few from our session…

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Miss Skylar at just a few days old. She was so sweet and cuddly – I love my job! We found a great little spot in her home to photograph her – right next to a set of French doors that lead to the outside but gave us the perfect light, except that I was getting shadowing from the middle panels of the door. Of course, shooting with the doors open to solve the problem would have been too cold for this sweetie, and shooting with them closed would have given us uneven lighting, so we worked on getting her posed with the doors closed, and as soon as she was ready to be photographed, I would open the doors for a few seconds to take the shot, then shut them again to swich poses. Sometimes you just have to improvise! It was a true pleasure to photograph Miss Skylar. Thank you H family for the opportunity!

Little guy Will was so much fun to run around and chase – as most mobile one year olds, his environment is exciting, and he needs to explore it all! We had a great time shooting Will and his beautiful family a few weeks ago. Will had recently turned one, so of course we did a cake smash to celebrate! I had a wonderful time hanging out with 3 month old baby Madalyn and her super sweet mama and grandma on Superbowl Sunday. Instead of cheering for touchdowns, we cheered for smiles Lol. It was so much fun meeting this happy and FUN family of five! We are so lucky to be able to shoot at the beach while other parts of the country are covered in cold snow. I love San Diego! Anyways, these kiddos were just getting over being sick – pneumonia is never fun, especially for the kids! They did great and we had a great time running around the beach and being silly. It’s not fair that this mama looks so gorgeous preggo! Lol, isn’t she beautiful? This sweet couple are expecting their first baby in just a few weeks – a girl! We had a great day in La Jolla, enjoying the sun and some yummy ice cream (I didn’t make her eat the pickles) before heading down to the cove for some shots on the beach. We had fun watching the seals chit chat or bark at each other – what a life, you get to hang out on a rock all day and be lazy, then just bark orders to your friends, lol. Anyways, here are a few from our session. I can’t wait to photograph their little one once she arrives!
