I just wanted to share one quick shot from last weekend that makes me feel all sunny and happy inside – as I sit here at my desk editing this beautiful family today with the rain coming and going throughout the day. Brr it’s cold out there! Anyways, doesn’t this shot make you feel all happy and warm? Happy Sunday everyone 
This beautiful family made this spot my new favorite location. K’s family just moved back here from Texas and K is actually a photographer as well – it’s pretty cool to shoot fellow photogs Anyways, we had planned a session for early October but then we had those crazy weeks of rain (and then 100 degree heat – go figure) so we had to postpone our session until the weather cooperated – I am so glad we waited – the sun and the lighting was just perfect for us. Little M is just 4 months old and cute as can be – she wore the cutest little pink dress and her mother being a photographer, is an Etsy shopper like me – hence the adorable headband! Anyways, thank you so much B family for allowing me to photograph your beautiful family!
Just catching up on a session from September – isn’t this family beautiful? We headed to one of my favorite locations and got some awesome family shots. Poor little A woke up that morning with a fever, so she needed a few extra cuddles to get her through, but with those adorable smiles, you would never know – she was a trooper! Thank you, O family for allowing me to photograph your picture perfect family!
This week, I had the pleasure of photographing a fellow photographer and her beautiful family. Hillary is used to being the one snapping the pictures of her little girl, but once a year or so, us photograpers know how important it is to take a break, put the camera down and let someone else capture your own family. You can see Hillary’s work here. It was also sweet little L’s 2nd birthday so of course two balloons were in order. Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to photograph your beautiful family, Hillary!
My neighbor L was so excited to have her nana come and visit. Nana is 92 years young, and L wanted to get a few generation shots before her return back home. Nana is amazing!!! I hope I am as beautiful, strong and active as her when I grow up! Anyways, we headed to my new favorite location – don’t you just love that backlighting!? Have a great weekend everyone!

It’s been a crazy week – two beautiful newborn girls, two gorgeous families… and I am behind on blogging, eek! I just wanted to share the C family’s session. You might recognize the little dude – we did his cake smash about 8 months ago. Funny because I have a shot of him leaning over a suitase at age one, and he is striking that same exact pose on the plastic crate below… too funny. And Miss T… gosh I have known her since she was just 2 months old… and now she is a beautiful, smart and amazingly level-headed teenager… totally a role model for my girls (who adore her!) C family, it was so much fun! Enjoy
L’s family and I met a few weeks ago for an extended family session. I love extended family sessions because everyone’s personality is so different, and it’s so much fun to see how everyone interacts – it’s always a fun atmosphere! L’s boys are too cute, and I loved seeing ‘love’ throughout the generations… L’s parents, now grandparents, L’s brother newly married, and L, with a beautiful family of her own. We had a great time – thanks M family!
Eek, this session with the B family was done over a month ago and I am just now getting around to blogging it… don’t worry, the family has their beautiful prints already It’s been a busy month to say the least!
Mama A contacted me about doing a family session before her four boys went off their own ways for college and work, so we were able to find a day that worked for all of their busy schedules and we headed over to one of their favorite family locations in San Diego – Petco Park. I love shooting downtown so I was excited to do an urban session. It was so much fun photographing the B family - I know Mama A is so proud of those 4 boys! Thanks so much for sharing this day with me, B family!
