I had the pleasure of photographing these ADORABLE kiddos a couple of weeks ago but had to keep it a secret until today because it was a Mother’ Day surprise from Grandma to her daughter – momma to these three beauties. They were so cute, and we had a great time. It’s awesome that they were able to keep it a secret – I know that the moment we tell Ava about a secret, it’s the first thing out of her mouth!
Anyways, wishing every momma out there a wonderful Mother’s Day!!!

Remember the chair contest a few weeks ago? Well this week, I had the pleasure of photographing the winning family! They were so much fun, and such great sports for lugging that monster of a chair around for the first set in our session. The Facebook Fan Page Status Update today: I found a chair!!!
Well after I wrote that, I found two more chairs, lol! I’ll show those later, but I was so excited that I had finally found my ‘ugly’ chair that I had to call Miss Brooke to join Ava for a little ‘test out the new chair’ photo shoot. I’ll be posting a few of Brooke in this entry, as she is sooooo easy to pose! A natural model… hint hint mom – get her into modeling asap! Ava on the other hand… she has what has been diagnosed as ‘photographer’s child syndrome’. Yep. Every picture I take of her, she is posing in some akward contorted, cheese -smile-like form, so I need to pick through those later and see if I can find a natural ‘mom’s not looking so I’ll be natural’ poses… stay tuned!

Well we set off today with the idea of finding a beautiful Lupine field – rustic chair in the trunk, my girl in a new beautiful dress… I had been eyeing this nearby Lupine field, so we drove up to it and then saw the big fat sign that said “No Tresspassing”. Ugh. So, we went in search of another pretty location. We found it… well, it was pretty, and pretty messy. The thick, green, tall grass was the perfect spot, except for it was in a few inches of swampy mud. So, here I am, in flip flops (as usual), mud to my ankles, my kiddo freaking out because she has mud on her dress, ahhh yes, the things you go through to get a cute shot of your own kiddo…

Happy Valentines Day! Well ok, it’s over a week away, but since we have a big week ahead of us with our little Emma, I wanted to get these done in time. Ava’s BFF came over today for a little mini-session. I’ll post Ava’s shots later… ok tomorrow, since Tyler is giving me that ‘(roll eyes) You’re still editing pix?’ look.
