Meet sweet Vida – I had the pleasure of photographing this sweet girl last month at just barely two weeks old. As she was getting to the peak of the ‘two week wake up’ period, sweet Vida wanted to eat, eat, and eat more, but she finally gave in and gave us a great sleepy period so that we could get these adorable shots of her. It was wonderful being able to hang out with Vida and her family – thank you so much for the opportunity, S family!

I was so excited to finally meet Miss Olivia just a few days after her birth. You might remember her beautiful parents from our mini-maternity session a little while ago – you can see it HERE. I am especially in love with the name Olivia because my brother will be naming his little girl Olivia in just a couple of months when she arrives 
What a cutie she was – she was a great little model for us, and I had a wonderful time hanging out with mommy and daddy while we posed sweet Olivia and took some great photos of her. Dad is a helicopter pilot in the military, so of course we had to get Olivia in his helmet for a quick shot. I had the pleasure of photographing sweet Aristotle a few weeks ago at just under 2 weeks old. This little dude was such a dream to photograph – such a sleepy little one! We had a great morning, hanging out and capturing this cutie’s adorable sleepy poses. “Eycharisto” to the G family for allowing me the opportunity to photograph your little guy! PS: Thank goodness for English-Greek online translators (and hopefully it did it correctly… if not, it’s supposed to say ‘thank you’ )

You might remember this little sweetie’s gorgeous parents from our beautiful beach maternity session a couple of months ago (you can see it HERE). Well sweet Soleil has finally arrived, and I am so excited to share her newborn session with you. Unless I have any special requests, I usually bring a few blankets of my own choice to a session, well this time I just happened to bring my favorite (at the moment) purple blanket with me – good thing, because Soleil’s room is a pretty purple, and she even had an awesome purple rug that we ended up using as a backdrop for the basket shot below! That’s what I love about photographing newborns in their own homes – you get to use new props! Anyways, Soleil was absolutely adorable and a dream to photograph. Thank you, L family for letting me capture Soleil’s first days of life.
I had the pleasure of photographing sweet newbie Will last month. Such a cute chunk-a-love! We had a great morning, and got some great shots of this little guy! Thanks R family for allowing me the opportunity to photograph your little dude

… and just for fun.. the wall spot where I wanted to take this shot was a bit narrow, but we made it work! As you can see, of course a parent is never far away (if not holding onto) baby in a prop – safety first!
I am SO excited to be sharing this blog post. Little Ethan belongs to my very good friend L – you have seen her beautiful daughter (and Ava’s BFF) Brooke on my blog before – she’s the gorgeous blonde Mr. Ethan came one week earlier than planned. L was so excited to have just gone on maternity leave and take advantage of having one week all to herself to prepare for Ethan’s scheduled C-section arrival. Well, baby boy decided to not give his mama any down time – he came on her first day of Maternity leave! He is such a sweet baby, and he looks just like big sis. Congrats, A family on your gorgeous family Love ya!
Baby Jordan was so sweet…. and a dream baby to photograph! He slept the entire time, didn’t pee or poop on the blankets, let me pose him without a fuss – we were done with our session in no time! I just saw him today after a 6 weeks and holy moly has he grown!!! He was only one week old when I photographed him, and it just serves as a
reminder that these little ones grow faster than you can blink. Congratulations, K family on the birth of your gorgeous son!
You may remember baby Darla’s gorgeous mama and dad from this maternity session. Well, sweet Darla was born just a few weeks ago and I had the pleasure of meeting her at just a few days old. She was such a sweetie and I had a great time spending the morning with Baby D, mommy and her auntie. Not only did I enjoy our time together, but to make things even more awesome, mama R had prepared the most beautiful plate of YUMMMMMMY Baklava for me to bring home. Thank you allowing me the opportunity to photograph sweet Darla, T family!
A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Miss Skylar at just a few days old. She was so sweet and cuddly – I love my job! We found a great little spot in her home to photograph her – right next to a set of French doors that lead to the outside but gave us the perfect light, except that I was getting shadowing from the middle panels of the door. Of course, shooting with the doors open to solve the problem would have been too cold for this sweetie, and shooting with them closed would have given us uneven lighting, so we worked on getting her posed with the doors closed, and as soon as she was ready to be photographed, I would open the doors for a few seconds to take the shot, then shut them again to swich poses. Sometimes you just have to improvise! It was a true pleasure to photograph Miss Skylar. Thank you H family for the opportunity!

I photographed sweet baby Jonathan a few weeks ago at just about two weeks old. He was such a cutie, and a big boy! Don’t you love the baby chub? His parents just moved here to San Diego just in time to welcome their little guy to the world. I had a wonderful time hanging out with his mom and dad, and photographing sweet Jonathan!
