Well it’s that time of year again where I bombard you with photos of my firstborn baby – well not so much baby anymore, she’s 5.5 years old, has her first wiggly tooth, and is starting 1st grade in less than one week. Where has the time gone?
We headed back to the same location (my favorite!!) as last year for her Kindergarten session, and had some fun. Ok well not that much fun… awesomely, I happened to sprain my ankle that morning and had it elevated and iced all day, but was determined to get out and shoot Ava’s Back to School Session because I have been so swamped with client sessions, I knew if I didn’t do it that day, I would not get to it until school had already started. So off I hobbled, into the uneven, rocky, dirt and tall grassy area. Ouch, yep it did hurt!
Oh Ava, my sweet girl, you are my sunshine on a cloudy day, you have a gentle, sensitive and caring heart, you are my creative, funny, goofy, witty and happy girl. I know how excited you are to start 1st grade with your new friends and new teacher. Mommy promises not to cry too much… or snap too many photos

Sophie – she is ADORABLE! What a cute session!! Love it. I have a first grader too! I held back the tears until I got to the parking lot…he would have been mortified had I shed a tear in front of his friends!! ha!
